Tool & Die Maker – At a Glance

What You’ll Do

  • Read blueprints and machine precision dies, molds, jigs, and fixtures
  • Set up and run mills, lathes, grinders, and EDM to ±0.001″ tolerances
  • Inspect, repair, and fine-tune tooling to keep production humming
  • Team up with engineers to improve designs and reduce downtime

What You’ll Bring

  • Completed 2-year tool & die apprenticeship (certificate required)
  • Solid experience with manual/CNC machining and GD&T
  • Sharp eye for detail and skill with micrometers, calipers, and gauges
